I ran out of the pads and used straw until I received these pads . The chickens kept scratching the straw out of the nest box daily making a mess. Do not have this problem with this product. Was glad when I received these and put them back in use. Very fast delivery.We just recently started a small flock (5 young hens), and I'm really liking this for not only the nest box, but the area between. So far, it has been much easier to keep everything tidy! It even arrived with a "Thank you" inside, for the order. We're looking forward to when they start laying eggs!Maybe a bit over priced, but work great!When my girls lay the eggs with brittle shells it creates a problem. But they seem to enjoy their nestsThe hens love the pads! Even withstood them scratching and fluffing the pads up a bit.They were decent pads. Too big for my box so had to return. I just ended up padding my boxes with shavings and that has worked well for me.
